Trisha Tomkins, MD
Dr. Trisha Tomkins is a board-certified gynecologist joining the Lakewood Ranch community with a passion for providing compassionate, individualized care to women of all ages. Originally from northern Michigan, she earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine before completing her residency program. During residency, she was honored with the AAGL Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award in recognition of her surgical skill and dedication to minimally invasive gynecologic care.
Following residency, Dr. Tomkins served for four years in the Florida Panhandle at Eglin Air Force Base before relocating back to northern Michigan. She and her family are now excited to return to Florida and enjoy the sunny weather and outdoor lifestyle that the Gulf Coast offers.
Dr. Tomkins especially enjoys caring for adolescents, supporting women through hormonal health and hormone replacement therapy, and building long-term relationships with patients throughout every stage of life. Outside of medicine, she enjoys. running, backpacking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters.
